Each day, starting from the current date, the system automatically recalculates a hexagram that simultaneously governs: – a verbal score sentence – a graphic image on a musical staff with variable thickness Text and image do not illustrate the hexagram, but adopt its behavior. The staff does not represent music, but a field of possible pitches; the marks are not notes, but visual events pointing to listening possibilities. The work requires no server, no manual updates, and no external intervention. The process is automatic, repeatable, and potentially infinite. Publishing on Internet Archive makes Perennial Agenda independent from any personal website and ensures its long-term continuity. Maltagliati vốn thuộc giới nghệ sĩ kỹ thuật số Ý, quen với tác phẩm sinh thành (generative art) chạy trên trình duyệt; ở đây tên sách ghi hai thứ tiếng, nghiêng về một ấn phẩm lai giữa lịch và tác phẩm nghệ thuật hơn là một bản dịch Kinh Dịch theo nghĩa thông thường. Dữ kiện tựa đề cho thấy trục ý niệm là quẻ Dịch được dùng làm bộ sinh quy tắc: mỗi ngày, từ ngày hiện tại, hệ thống tính lại một quẻ, và quẻ ấy đồng thời điều phối một câu điểm chỉ bằng ngôn từ lẫn một hình vẽ trên khuông nhạc với độ dày nét thay đổi. Cần nói ngay rằng đây không phải công trình khảo cứu Hán học; người đọc tìm một bản Kinh Dịch chú giải theo lối cổ điển sẽ không thấy điều đó ở đây.

Việc gán tác giả cho Sergio Maltagliati là chắc chắn theo bản ghi xuất bản, nhưng cần phân biệt hai lớp "tác giả": tác giả của khung chương trình và tác giả của kết quả hiển thị mỗi ngày.
